WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
BRIDAL PREPERATIONS:
Robin and I started the day with a bit of breakfast from a local cafe and then headed to Aleisha's family home in Blackburn. There's something really special about capturing wedding prep at a family home. It creates context and gives added depth to our work. In many of these photographs you'll catch glimpses of Aleisha's parents wedding photographs lining the walls, you'll see ornaments that have been passed down through the generations, they all these subtle additions give an extra layer of history and intimacy.
We introduced ourselves to everyone and spent the morning capturing natural moments of Aleisha with her bridesmaids and family, and despite a hint of nervousness; there were giggles and laughter echoing from every room.
Once ready the bride and bridesmiads headed to the wedding venue via two vintage Rolls Royce.

THE CEREMONY:
We headed off Bartle Hall is a charming country house hotel located in Preston, Lancashire. It's an award winning wedding and events venue with beautiful grounds and elegant interiors. A venue that neither myself or any of team Trioh had worked at before this wedding, yet after a warm welcome from their incredible staff we quickly felt at home. From the huge reception rooms to the picturesque outdoor spaces, Bartle Hall really blew us away.
Aleisha and Matt opted for my "Photography & Highlight Film" package, so as soon as we arrived we headed straight to the ceremony room to set up our equipment. We briefly caught up with a very nervous looking Matt and then got into position ready for the ceremony to start.

Time to celebrate:
After the ceremony we headed out to the gardens for the drinks reception and canapés. The sun was shining and everyone was smiling, a perfect time for us to capture lots of candids of the guests enjoying themselves. Once Aleisha and Matt had some time to catch up with their guests and enjoy a few refreshments, Robin and I took them aside for a few formal shots, or as I like to call them "stress free, gently guided shots", I fully appreciate that not everyone is a natural in front of the camera and so I always ask my couples their preference prior to this part of the day. Having my couples feel comfortable and happy is at the top of my priorities as a photographer and so I do my best to make sure nothing is ever forced - this really lends itself to my more natural style, so its a win-win for everyone involved. One of the great things about the formal shots is it gives the newly weds a brief moment of intimacy and calm in what is typically a very busy day. It's a time to chill, to reflect and appreciate each other without any distractions, I like to think this really shows in my images.

wedding breakfast & speeches:
After grabbing some shots of Aleisha and Matt relaxing and walking around the gardens, we moved back inside to find somewhere to recharge our batteries - our cameras and ourselves. Once the guests had filled up on food and alcohol, we set our cameras to the head table to capture the hilarious yet heartfelt speeches provided by father of the bride, the groom and the best man.

evening party:
As the evening guests arrived, everyone gathered in the main hall for the first dance and evening entertainment.
To top it off, when I had the initial meeting with Aleisha and Matt, Matt insisted that we bring the camper van and stay the rest of the evening for a few celebratory drinks. We couldn't say no to this could we!
