Approach.
I photograph and film with a predominantly candid/documentary approach to try and capture weddings from a guests-eye point of view. I work with an honest perspective, embracing the moment and allowing people to be themselves, rather than awkwardly posing for the “perfect” photo.
I see couples terrified of a stray hair or a wrinkled dress and they convince themselves that perfection protects the memory.
But 20 years from now, you won't care about the perfectly posed photographs; you'll care about the laughter, the tears, the love and the personalities captured within them.
Processing.
I've spent many years developing my editing style and I don't try to fit into any particular category, but I can say that I'm heavily influenced by the analog, pre-digital era of the 80's and 90's. My work hints at that retro, filmic vibe without any of the limitations of shooting physical film.
I like to think that the look and feel of my work evokes a sense of nostalgia, timelessness and realness.
Work Ethic.
I'm a down to earth, people-person and believe that building a trusting relationship with my couples is essential. I always aim to get my couples and their guests feeling comfortable and confident around us and our equipment, so you'll be sure to get only positive and uplifting vibes from myself and my team.
This isn’t a hobby or a part-time side income, we don’t have others jobs that take up our time and distract us from the thing you’re paying us to do. My team and I have been capturing weddings full time for a long time, it’s what we do week in week out and we take great pride in providing a reliable and enjoyable experience.
